mrsa.. thought that was old news

Yesterday morning I woke up with an irritation in my leg. I was actually quite ticked because I thought it was a spider bite and I have a passionate dislike for spiders, probably because they just scare the shit out of me. But to further put a damper on my week today when I woke up my whole legg kind of felt numb or like it was trying to fall asleep but couldn't. Thought I'ld be able to walk it off so I went into work just as I was scheduled to at noon. Too bad I wasn't able to walk it off, and it only seemed to get heavier and heavier. So I went to the doctors when I got off and was told that it was MRSA... how can this even be real right now?? I was told that antibiotics don't always work for MRSA because for the most part they have a resistance to antibiotics. Which than concludes to mean that if I get a fever, I have to go to the hospital. If I get the chills I have to go to the hospital. And if the red goes beyond the circle that the Dr. drew around what was already red.. I have to go to the hospital. Apparently this only occurs in 1% of the population. Usually amongst those who have a weakened immune systems and are in hospital settings or a nursing home or other types of health facilities. Lucky me after having mono I've become susceptible to catching ANY and EVERY thing that is just absurd. welcome to my life.
